Here are 7 top tips to help you choose a Botox® clinic or private practitioner.

Choosing an aesthetic clinic or private practitioner for the first time can be very difficult; however, there are a few simple things to look out for which will make the process easier and ensure you have a great experience.

Here are our 7 tips to consider before choosing a clinic:

1. Are they medically qualified?

Injecting Botox® is a very skilled procedure and should only be done by a qualified, medical practitioner.

2. Are they medically registered?

Check the practitioner has registration with either the General Medical Council (GMC) for Doctors or the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) for Nurses.

3. Are they fully insured?

Before undergoing any cosmetic procedure check that the practitioner has appropriate insurance cover (medical indemnity), this is to protect you if something goes wrong.

4. Do they offer free consultations?

Most reputable practitioners offer free consultations to clients who are curious about aesthetic treatments and want to find out more information. This is the perfect opportunity to ask the practitioner any questions or raise any concerns you may have. There should be no pressure to have the treatment there and then.

5. Are they aesthetics focused?

Look for practitioners whose main focus is Botox® and other aesthetic procedures such as Dermal Fillers.

6. Check online reviews

Read the practitioners online reviews to see what other customers thought of the service and look at their social media channels for examples of before & afters.

7. How much do they charge?

There are lots of clinics/practitioners offering Botox® or Dermal Fillers at ridiculously cheap prices, don’t make your decision on price alone. Check that what you are being charged is around the industry average price.

In the UK the average price for three areas ranges from £200- £400, depending on the clinic and the location.
